Anime vs. Manga

From what I've noticed, the anime has been following the manga pretty well and not that much stuff has changed. The only differences are like the filler episodes and some characters in the anime aren't in the manga. [Example: Ayame] My friend has every single Inuyasha manga that came out so far (obviously they're in Japanese), so I need her to read it for me so I can translate them and put it on the site for you guys.-Jackie

Anime

Inuyasha is so far following the manga very well and not much stuff as changed. Some minor stuff have like the order in some characters become introduced or filler episdoes. Otherwise it's very good. The animation is great, the voices are awesome. It's probably one of the best dubbed animes too. The only problem is that the production company that dubs Inuyasha (Vic I think it is) leaves out some dialouge or change it around a bit to not make it sound as harsh. Cause trust me, there's more profanity in the Japanese version. I like the anime better then the manga because you don't have to site and read it..heehee.., action scences are more interesting and suspenseful, and most filler episodes are hillarious.

One thing that bothers me the most is how more bitter Kikyou is in the Anime. In the manga, she's not all THAT bad, but it seems like they went overboard on her feelings. Many hate Kikyou because she won't leave Kagome and Inuyasha alone, but she still loves him and that will never change. Maybe she's jealous of Kagome? Who knows, but Kikyou would acts the same way you and I would act. Also she does live on the hatred of Inuyasha, so that's why she's that way, but she does later find out it wasn't him that betrayed her.

Sub or Dub?

I answered this question briefly in the FAQ section, but I wanted to go into it more here. MAny people at my school who are, for some reason, getting into anime always ask me (you can see that my obsession is known schoolwide :D) "What's better, subtitles or the dubbed version?" Personally, I would have to say the sub. That's MY opinion of course, but I have a good reason. In the Japanese version, Inuyasha is MUCH more rude, self-centered, and is just an irritating character. You don't really see the soft side of him unless he's with Kikyou or sometimes Kagome. I feel that R. Cox doesn't put the same kind of emotion K. Yamaguchi does. Even when Inuyasha is in his demonic form, you get this chill down your spine when he talks, but when R. Cox speaks, you don't get that feeling and it takes out the fun. The subtitles translates everything the way it is and you can hear the origional voice of the characters. To tell you the truth, I don't even know why people have dubbed versions, it ruins the origional work. When I lived in Italy, most of our movies were in subtitles, so I guess that's how I'm used to it. There's nothing wrong with the dubbed, and by far on my list is one of the best dubbed animes, but try and watch it on sub as well.

Manga

The manga in some ways is better, because it's the origional text that Rumiko wrote it and the art is also very good. Ever look though one of those art books?! They're amazing. Anyways, the manga is the real deal...nothing is changed, it's all orginal and is a bit darker. The only downside about the manga is that the action scences aren't as exciting as the anime.
